About

Multisensory interactive art installations and performances/Above sketch for Moments Rendering Gabriele Tomasulo

Multimedia artist and education designer, Anne Willieme, leads ALW Atelier, an art creation space that brings about interactive art performances/ installations, augmented reality art, and art as research programs.

ALW Atelier delves into how multisensory artworks can enhance our perception and how deepened sensory pathways can help us access new ways of thinking, feeling, and seeing.

Interactivity is a central tenant for ALW Atelier as it invites viewers to become participants in its art pieces, so fostering enhanced engagement and communication. It also is focused on the realms of self and planetary ecology as potent territories within which art can act to generate cultural growth.

ALW Atelier is inherently multidisciplinary both in terms of its art practice, as it makes use of multiple media, and additionally because of its interest in collaborations across domains. In this regard, it also creates multisensory artworks to stimulate problem solving in science, medicine and beyond.

The Atelier mixes high and low tech, working with paint as well as augmented reality and collaborates with teams of academics, scientists, physicians and software engineers.
